But my life was not always so happy. There are memories and pains from my past that only Jesus can heal, and He has. I was an orphan with no one to care for me, or help me. I once lived in an abandoned shack with no glass in the windows and no furniture at all. I did not have sufficient clothes or shoes, and no coat for winter. In Russia, it can get cold! I was starving. Eventually, I ended up in an orphanage, which is difficult for any child. Especially older children have very little hope of ever being adopted. I wished for someone to love me. Then Mama and Papa came, and life changed forever.
Right now, I have friends back in Russia who are not so fortunate. Our family is pledging to bring home several of my orphanage friends in the near future. But it is very expensive. Will you help? While we are there, I will be sharing my personal testimony in Russian with many of the street children living in Moscow. We will give them Gospel tracts and possibly a toothbrush, and an apple. They need to know that God loves them and can change their lives, just like He did for me.
